On my site, passwords are not required to have symbols and are not case sensitive because these characters are easy for machines to deal with but not humans. We are not machines! But we do need secure passwords, so a ten to fifteen digit code is required. I strongly recommend that you use the initials of a phrase to help you remember this rather than using a word. - Brian
